This skimmer is designed to recover heavy, viscous or emulsified oil laden with debris. The unit consists of a clamshell bucket surrounded by four sets of vertically mounted skimming discs. The rotating steel discs chop debris into manageable pieces to allow the pump to process. It is typically used in near-shore, coastal or open waters.
