MSRC recognizes that spill responses are spontaneous events and as such no two spills are ever the same. Factors such as location of the spill, volume of oil at risk, movement of oil, and weather and sea state, are among the many variables that must be dealt with. MSRC's approach to effective spill response is about more than simply meeting regulatory planning requirements on paper. Once an event occurs, our experience dictates that it will be "game day and game time decisions" on how best to respond. As such, MSRC is designed with multiple tools to ensure the right flexibility to bring the most efficient resources to a response.
