Dispersants Capability - Effective January 1, 2007 MSRC implemented changes to its dispersant program that had been previously provided through a contract with Marine Industry Resources - GULF (MIR-G). Under the enhanced program, MSRC contracts directly with two aircraft operators who provide MSRC access to a C-130 located near Phoenix, AZ and a King Air located in Stennis, MS. The C-130 can carry up to 3,250 gallons of dispersant and the King Air, which also functions as a spotter aircraft, can carry up to 425 gallons of dispersant.
