Dear Customer:
As you know, MSRC has repositioned a significant amount
of resources from their normal steady-state locations to
respond to a number of incidents resulting from Hurricanes
Katrina and Rita. We are presently responding to 17 call-outs
and have seven of our Responder Class vessels active (all
Gulf Coast area Responders plus the Florida, Georgia, and
Virginia Responders).
We maintain significant assets on the East, Gulf, and West
Coasts and will take steps to augment our capabilities where
appropriate. We will continue to work with the U.S. Coast
Guard to ensure that we retain our OSRO Classification levels
in all of our operating areas - which we currently do. Therefore,
your ability to cite MSRC in your response plans remains
valid in all areas.
Additionally, standard AMPD procedures remain in effect
so that we can work with you to meet your requirements.
We will continue to keep you apprised should circumstances
change.
Should you have any questions, please contact Judith Roos
at (703) 326-5617 (office), (703) 887-2271 (cell), or via
e-mail at norell@msrc.org. |
