Description

The Foilex 200/250 skimmer is a high performance weir skimmer for coastal, inland and offshore oil spills. The skimmer is stored on a skid for compactness & minimal transportation space. The skimmer is hydraulically driven from a power pack mounted on the same skid. The skimmer handles all types of oil from light diesel to heavy crude oil. It is equipped with cutter blades mounted both in the inlet and outlet end of the pump. Recovered oil is discharged from the skimmer to the tank. The knuckle boom crane (skid mounted) is used to deploy and retrieve the skimmer.

Handling/Operation

Use of this skimmer, as part of a VOSS system, does not require the vessel to have a deck crane/boom to deploy and retrieve the unit. It is most effectively used in conjunction with its own boom arm and boom, but is not limited to this configuration. Unit can be used on a Shallow Water Barge System or small crew boat.
